People's Choice BBQ Tasting
Each year, all the Pro & Backyard Competition BBQ teams submit their BBQ to our People's Choice BBQ Tasting where YOU, the general public, get to try the same barbeque being judged in the competition.
The People's Choice BBQ Tasting is held on Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm and one of the biggest ways we generate money for our charity, The Home of Hope @ Gwinnett Children's Shelter. Each Tasting kit is $10 and comes with 9 samples of BBQ chosen at random.
Join us at the 6th Annual Sip & Swine BBQ Festival
I've never been to the Sip & Swine BBQ Festival - what should I expect?
The Sip & Swine BBQ Festival is a 2-day event (Friday & Saturday) held at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The event is free to attend (ie. parking & admission are both free) and offers activities for all ages. The biggest part of the event happens on Saturday during the People's Choice BBQ Tasting, where you can pay $10 to get a sampling of some of the best BBQ around! The 9 samples you get come directly from the Pro & Backyard BBQ teams competing in the festival.
All proceeds go to benefit The Home of Hope @ Gwinnett Children's Shelter.
Over 80 Food & Craft Vendors on Location!
You can also expect at least 80 food and craft vendors at the festival.
For food, you can expect to see festival favorites like fresh pork rinds and boiled peanuts, to full meals like ribs, fresh BBQ, sliders, great selections from local food trucks and more!
For crafts, you should keep an eye out for booths from great local artists, as well as vendors selling clothing, home goods, jewelry, and more. It's also a chance to meet local businesses & event sponsors too.
So, what's the "Sip" part of Sip & Swine?
It simply means that there'll be plenty of beer selections on tap at the festival for anyone 21+ to enjoy responsibly.
