This past weekend, March 1 – 2, was our fourth annual Sip & Swine BBQ Festival, and – if we do say so ourselves – it was quite a success! Sip & Swine is a KCBS-certified (Kansas City Barbecue Society) competition, but aside from the delicious barbecue, there was some great live music from Chainsaw Hunnie, Pickup Line, Georgia Red Clay, and Rebel Union to compliment the food. And there was festival food galore from our fantastic food vendors, who sold all sorts of tasty treats. There were also craft vendors who came out with their wonderful wares for the attendees to peruse as they munched on their barbecue.
(And thankfully it didn’t rain on Saturday, even though the forecast was pretty dicey for a while! It turned out to be a beautiful day. It was a bit overcast in the morning, but the clouds cleared by early afternoon and gave way to a blue sky.)
